Installing your Flow Ladder XP trial

Here's exactly what setting up the trial looks like, start to finish — so you know what to expect. It takes about a minute to install, plus one quick step to get your trial key.

iHow the trial works

Your free trial key is issued by hand, so there's one short step to get it.

You install first, then send us your Machine ID. When you open Flow Ladder XP, the activation window shows a Machine ID — a short code unique to your computer. You send us that code and we email your 14-day trial key back. You then activate with your email and key. This step is only for the trial — it's how we bind your free key to your machine. (Paid subscriptions skip it — the key is issued automatically.)
Request a trial

1Install it

Once you've requested a trial, you'll get a download link by email. Unzip it, then run the installer.

  1. Unzip the download

    Right-click the trial zip → Extract All. Keep every file together in the same folder — the installer needs them side by side.

  2. Run the installer

    With NinjaTrader 8 closed, double-click FlowLadderXP-Setup.exe and click through. It copies one file into your NinjaTrader 8 folder — no admin rights needed.

  3. If Windows shows a blue warning, choose “Run anyway”

    Because the installer is newly published, Windows may say “Windows protected your PC.” Click More info, then Run anyway. This only appears the first time. If your antivirus blocks it, use the Install Flow Ladder XP.bat in the same folder instead.

2Get your trial key

This is the one manual step. Open the ladder, copy the Machine ID, and send it to us.

  1. Open Flow Ladder XP

    Start NinjaTrader 8. In the Control Center, open the New menu and choose Flow Ladder XP. The activation window opens.

  2. Copy your Machine ID

    The activation window shows a Machine ID — a short code like the one below. Click the copy button next to it.

  3. Send us the Machine ID

    Reply to your trial email, or email support@oflptrader.com, and paste in the Machine ID. We'll email your 14-day trial key back, usually within one business day.

What is the Machine ID? It's not your NinjaTrader licence and not your Windows product key. It's a short code our software generates from your computer's hardware, so your licence knows which machine to open on. It holds no personal information, no account details, and nothing that identifies you — and it's of no use to anyone else.

3Activate & start trading

Once your key arrives, you're seconds from the ladder.

  1. Enter your email and trial key

    Back in the activation window, enter the same email you requested the trial with and the trial key we sent, then click Activate. Paste the key rather than typing it — one wrong character will stop it activating.

  2. That's it — the ladder opens

    Flow Ladder XP activates this machine and opens. Your 14-day trial starts now. Settings and theme are all yours to configure from here.

✦When your trial ends

Like what you see? Subscribing is simpler than the trial — and unlocks self-service billing.

Subscribing skips the manual step. When you subscribe, your licence key is emailed to you automatically — no Machine ID to send, nothing to wait on. You just install (or keep your existing install) and activate with the email you paid with and your new key, on up to two computers. Prices are shown excluding tax; any VAT that applies is added at checkout based on your location.
You also get a customer portal. As a subscriber you can update your card, view invoices, or cancel any time from the “Manage subscription” link in your emails — cancel whenever you like and you keep access to the end of the period you've paid for. (Trials have nothing to manage — a trial simply ends unless you subscribe, and no card is ever taken for it.)
